Who We
Are
Speak Up for Justice is a collaborative speakers bureau made up of representatives of member organizations. Speak Up for Justice consists of former prisoners, family members of
prisoners and advocates who are prepared to make presentations and
facilitate discussion on many topics related to the prison industrial
complex. Our expertise comes from our direct experience with that
system, as well as decades of work challenging its injustices.
Our mission is to educate the public about the true impacts of policing,
courts and prisons on our communities, challenge our society’s
over-reliance on prisons, and contribute to creating public safety based
on social justice.
